A final meeting in Rota
was scheduled from April 20th to April 25th, with the participation
of near seventy Italian, German and Spanish teachers and students.
But infortunately, Nature broke into our planning and, like the
L'Aquila's earthquake, but this time in the form of the islandese volcano
Eyjafjalla,
made impossible the visit of the German expedition.
This was extremely
infortunate, as the core of the project was the convivence of the
three partners at a time. However, the visit toke place as planned.
After an official reception
from the
municipal authorities of Rota in the Town Hall, the teachers and
Italian pupils met his Spanish colleagues in the Arroyo Hondo High
School, where they visited the facilities of the
center and, after that, as it has been made before by their
German friends, they cooked the most typical Spanish plate, the
Potatoes' Omelette.
After visiting the
most
representative natural monument of Rota, the "Corrales", the Italian expedition
visited Cadiz and also Seville.
Specially interesting was the visit to
Grazalema Range and to the village of Zahara de la Sierra, almost a
mirror of the visit realized by
the Spanish pupils in the Maiella Range and the village of
Roccascalegna in the fourth meeting. In this visit it was possible
to do a comparative study between both locations.
